Myoglobin, Troponin I and Troponin T as early markers are of major importance in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction as their increase indicates myocardial structural damage even before ECG changes are present.
There is a clear indication for testing Myoglobin, Troponin I and Troponin T. The testing of further enzymes indicating heart muscle necrosis rather exludes a previous MI.
