Correlated CT-Finding
 
Extensive infarction of the whole right hemisphere, only territories of the anterior and posterior cerebral arteries remaining unaffected. Compression of the right lateral ventricle and the incipient dilatation of the left lateral ventricle indicate impaired liquor circulation. Indistinct gyri and a midline shift towards the left indicate cerebral edema.
